Article: “Sharp rise in girls under 16 having sex” – Home Section
Question 1 (you may choose to answer either or both questions):
• State any two reasons mentioned in the article which contributes to the sharp rise in girls under 16 having sex.

Answer: the first reason is because of peer pressure as the article says that a girl wanted to ask her boyfriend to have sex with her because all her other friends have sex with their boyfriend already.
Another reason is because some girls who want emotional support might feel trapped as they feel sex is the only way to keep the boy they love.• What are some consequences which a girl might face for engaging in casual sex?

Answer: The consequences are, the girl might get pregnant, have unwanted babies and have to go for an abortion. Other consequences are having disease like sexually transmitted infections (STIs) or send to the girls home.Question 2:
What are some of your reactions after reading this article? If one day, a close friend of yours confess to you that he/she has been engaging in sex, what would your advice to him/her be?
Answer: I felt a bit shocked and I think that those girls are foolish.
My advice would be to tell her to stop engaging sex with her boyfriend and tell her that if her boyfriend really love her, she would not need to have sex with her boyfriend in order to maintain their relationship.
