Week 3
Article: “Ink Corporated” – ‘IN’ Section (Pg 8-9)
Question 1:
What are some reasons stated in the article why some people choose to have body art like tattoos or piercings done on parts of their body.
Answer: The reasons are:
They wanted to be different from the others as not a lot of people have done tattoos or piercings on their body.
Quite a lot of youths wanted to draw attention to themselves.
Some youths express themselves by having tattoos or piercing in order to stand out from the crowd.
Some of them wanted to have tattoos or piercing as they don’t want to live feeling afraid of trying.
Youths having tattoos or piercing is also a way of release pent up stress and pressure.Question 2:
(a) What are some impressions you would form of a person whose body is covered with tattoo?
Answer: My impressions of that people would be like a bad person or gangster doing all those bad stuff although some of them are good person because those tattoos make them look fierce and make people scared of them.(b) Would you consider getting a tattoo in future? Why?
Answer: No. I would not consider it.
Because it will be painful to have a tattoo on and it might ruined the impressions of me by other people. I felt that having a tattoo is useless and it was just a waste of my money and if want to get rid of tattoo, it would be a painful process.
